100 Tests of Devotion: A Deity's Demands

50The Fateful Choice - The devotee must decide between two seemingly impossible paths, each of which will have serious ramifications for them and their faith. They must choose with conviction and clarity, for only their true devotion to the deity can guide them along the right path.

This d100 table contains 100 trials of faith asked for by a deity. These tests are designed to test the strength of an individual's devotion. Each entry on the table is unique and has its own challenge, ranging from mild to extreme. The challenges may involve physical feats, tests of mental endurance and fortitude, or spiritual quests. Some entries may require sacrifices of wealth or resources, while others ask for more creative solutions. The rewards can be great if the tests are completed successfully, but failure can mean dire consequences. Whatever each challenge may be, they all test the same thing: one's true and unwavering faith in the deity in question.

Uncharted Islands

Below, however, lies an ancient, nameless city ruled by a titanic bipedal frog creautre and peopled by a vicious, primitive group of merfolk who worship this creature as a god. The sandbar is the very tip of the creature's temple, which has a roof like a ziggurate the is held up by massive basalt pillars. At night, the followers surface and howl at the moon praises to their god below. Once per week, they claw their way to the center of the island and sacrifice one of their fellow worshippers along with any intruders.

Rare Art Objects

50A face carved of stone who’s visage resembles that of a screaming woman. Supposedly, anyone who sleeps near it is said to attract death and have horrible nightmares of a woman whispering about their own personal hell. This is really not the case. It just so happens that the previous owner is stupidly paranoid. It’s just a creepy looking rock. Still pretty though.
