This d100 table of 100 City Encounters for Level 1 DnD 5e is designed to provide Dungeon Masters with a range of exciting and challenging encounters that can be used in a city setting. The table includes categories such as merchants, guards, criminals, beggars, animals and magical creatures that could all potentially be encountered by adventurers in the city. Each encounter has been tailored to provide a unique experience for players of level 1 DnD 5e. From small-time thievery to dangerous magical beasts, this table offers an array of interesting and engaging encounters for players to explore. Additional context you must follow: Each roll should be an encounter with a dnd 5e monster/creatures. Some may include die rolls, such as '1d4+1 giant spiders', and should include some items too, like '1d3 thugs, one has a short bow, two have clubs'.

1 A group of 1d4+1 giant spiders has taken refuge in an alleyway and is terrorizing any who come too close.
2 An old man is walking down the street, carrying a large bag of coins. He looks nervous, as if he's being followed. Upon further inspection, two small rats can be seen scurrying around his feet - they seem to be trying to steal from him!
3 A pack of 1d4+1 dire rats skitter through the alley, scavenging for food. They seem to be afraid of people and will flee if given any attention.
4 Roll A small pack of kobolds (1d4) is trying to break into a shop, and they are armed with crude clubs. They appear to be desperate and are willing to fight if cornered.
5 A herd of 1d10+1 wild goats has caused a commotion, blocking off part of the street and preventing pedestrians from passing by. The goats are skittish and will flee if approached too closely.
6 A friendly street vendor offers the adventurers a free sample of their wares - a sweet-smelling stew made from local ingredients. The vendor smiles warmly and tells them to enjoy it while they explore the city.
7 A group of 1d4+1 giant rats scavenging around a trash heap. The rats are harmless, but they have managed to acquire a few valuable items from the trash - a silver spoon, an old copper coin, and a small gem worth 25gp.

41 An old man is walking through the city, surrounded by 1d4+2 ravens. He speaks to them as if they are his children, and he is carrying a small wooden box filled with various trinkets.
42 A pack of 1d4+1 hyenas are running wild through the streets, scaring and harassing people.
43 A merchant selling various magical trinkets and potions, some of which are actually cursed items.
44 A group of four elven adventurers is resting in the city square, equipped with a variety of weapons and armor. They are discussing their next mission over a meal and appear to be friendly and open to conversation.
45 A large, black carriage pulled by a team of four horses rolls through the street. Inside you can see a figure in a deep purple cloak peering out from the curtains. As it passes by, you catch glimpses of a strange symbol emblazoned on the side of the vehicle.
